The Party Barn

Notice the big red barn behind Jenna, Korinne and Anna? And some of the cars?
That's a family 'party barn' where many cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. gathered to wish G-pa K a Happy 97th Birthday! And enjoy the annual easter egg hunt....

Tanner and Quinn

Me with my cousin, Annie. We are only 10 days apart and LOVED spending childhood days together whenever we could convince our parents to let us! She is still my favorite hair dresser in all the world. It's sad that we live so far apart now :(

Jantzen helping Quinn at the awesome egg hunt.

Elsie braves the wind and cold to fill up her sack with treasures.

Anna quickly decides the brown paper sack just isn't going to cut it!

Brinley and Anna found replacement bags to accommodate the goods.

Tanner with the "Birthday Boy" -- his Great G-pa K at age 97.

There was lots of yummy food!

Britton and Jantzen

And it's not a party without the 'bounce-house'. It always attends the family gatherings.

And so do the canoe rides.

Aaron was a real sport and spent a LONG TIME taking various kids out on the pond.
Feeding the fish and watching them jump is always exciting!

Our final picture taken with our beloved grandfather and great-grandfather. He passed away peacefully in his sleep just five days later. Thanks for memories G-pa! We'll see you again!

That's like a family party from a movie . . . egg hunt, bounce house, canoes. I'm glad you got to see your grandpa one last time before he passed away.

I love that last picture with Grandpa Great! I'm so glad you could come for our last big party with him. It made it all just right.

What a fun party - even though it doesn't look very warm
