Aaron took the boys to a local water park to celebrate while I stayed behind to pack/load for a quick trip to Salt Lake where we were scheduled for extended family pictures with Aaron's side.
Another round of singing "Happy Birthday" (with cupcakes) at G-ma and G-pa P's place.
Nice that Tiffany, Shawn and Abigail were in town so we could visit a bit during the mayhem.

And Jantzen was thrilled to add a new game to his sparse collection.

Scored a new/used set of golf clubs for this growing fan of the game.
After swimming, lunch and birthday fun, we focused on getting ready for M family pics.
The 100 degree temperatures didn't help nor did the fact that Quinn fell asleep in the car on the way.
As you can see, it was a bit of a struggle to snap a decent shot.
We tried everything to get a little cooperation from an overly tired and very cranky boy.
A little potty-humor worked...don't ask!

Quinn managed to turn on the charm AFTER picture taking was over.
C'est la vie!
It has been 10 years since the last Bob & Janene family picture was taken.
There have been numerous weddings/babies/additions since then.
It's getting more difficult to gather all of Aaron's family together (especially with Jared & Steph in Hawaii). That evening we enjoyed a BBQ celebration and sang one more round of "Happy Birthday" to Jantzen on his 10th.

Because it was so late when the party ended, our family stayed the night at Bonnie and Bryant's place. We joined them for a ward/community breakfast and local 4th of July parade the next morning before returning home in time to celebrate America's birthday with our friends and neighbors.
Ingenuity reigns supreme in the design of this mini-train pulled by a 4-wheeler around the open space of our neighborhood. The 55 gallon water barrels have many uses as do the top half of folding chairs.

Aaron and I took a few turns pulling the train/neighborhood children around.
It was the perfect excuse for not joining the volleyball game...

After having a 'recovery' day, it was party time once again.

The girls enjoyed eating and playing games - and especially helping Cinderella find her lost slipper.
Later that evening when Dad was home, we finished off the week of celebrations.
All the kids were so excited about the gifts they gave to Elsie.
And isn't it wonderful that she was so excited about getting her own notebook?

Happy birthday! Elsie is looking a lot like Anna in some of those pictures.
The family pictures turned out so cute -I saw them on Facebook. It is funny to hear the story behind the smiles:)
