We reached a significant milestone in our family life this past week. It has been five years since we packed our bags, moved from the Salt Lake area and explored new territory. Of course, we haven't exactly stayed in one place. We've lived in three different homes, added two children, sold a business, started another and so on. However, we have been in the same ward, neighborhood, school district for longer than any previous location has afforded us. Aaron has even held the same calling for nearly 4 1/2 years! And that, my friends, is a new record for us -- by a long shot.
We decided to celebrate by checking out the local sand dunes.
It's only taken us 5 years to visit them.
They go on and on and on....
Anna hauling some of the sand toys around - looking for the perfect spot.
Aaron and Quinn
(Yes, Quinn prefers to wear his clothing backwards most days.)
Tanner scouted out this little 'tree oasis' in the desert.
Elsie and Brinley building their sand castle fortress.
This kid was all about our family outing.
Young and old alike had a fabulous time creating.
The weather was absolutely perfect and the kids worked together so well.
Aaron and I were amazed.
I don't think we'll wait another 5 years to return.
