Has it really been 4 years since Quinn arrived on the scene in his own fast and furious way?
He's been a determined little guy ever since - and we sure love him!

This morning the "Birthday Boy" woke up in plenty of time to join Aaron for his special breakfast at JB's. Quinn even wanted to do his own hair. Never mind that he used the hand soap to style it. He insisted on doing it himself - and said the "gel" worked just fine...

When the waitress learned it was Quinn's birthday, she prepared a special treat for him to take home. Lemon meringue pie.
After breakfast, I had a few errands to run. Quinn loved the special treatment wherever we went - cookies and smarties from the grocery store, etc.
Brinley and Jantzen woke up early enough to do a little decorating.
And everybody helped make his baseball cake.
Quinn was happy to be able to use the special birthday plate/goblet.
| Juice. It was the only thing he requested for his menu. |
Although I never got an exact response about what he wanted for his birthday dinner, he was totally happy with the end results. Pizza. Cucumbers. Strawberries. Honeydew melon. Steamed asparagus. Spinach salad.
G-ma and G-pa M came over to watch Quinn open his presents and have some cake and ice cream with us.
The kids really spoiled him this year - with individual gifts from each of them.
Tanner - Spiderman ball, Brinley - dinosaur webkinz, Jantzen - basketball poster/free fry coupon/mini-frisbee, Anna - hand-crafted homemade coloring book, Elsie - play dough
So thoughtful of everybody!
| Jumping for joy - Quinn LOVES french fries. |
Thanks G-ma and G-pa M!
Loved the Batman ball cap and truck set!
I don't think this guy could have too many balls or swords.
It was like Christmas morning all over again for him today.
We started funny little birthday traditions - something we do every year on a specific person's birthday. Each year on Quinn's birthday we go on a family walk. The day he was born, I went for a long walk around our neighborhood - in a short-sleeved t-shirt.

G-ma & G-pa M joined us around the driveway and then jumped into their warm car...brrr!

Some only made it to the driveway.
Others bundled up and braved the biting north wind for a real walk.
Where is spring?
Quinn led the way and was happy all day!
Happy 4th Birthday Buddy!

Happy, happy birthday!
He is so sweet. I can't believe he is 4!!! Happy Birthday.
Love that Quinn! I like the idea of doing something uniquely special on each person's birthday. You'll have to tell me what the other activities are.
