It's the first time in a long time the kids have actually provided breakfast ON Father's Day. For many years Aaron was at the church bright and early - long before anyone could possibly prepare breakfast for him!

As parents, we often wonder what(if) our children are learning during weekly Family Home Evenings together. Recently, we talked about the repentance process. I illustrated the principle by smearing peanut butter on this little boy to show how sins/mistakes make us unclean. After reviewing the necessary steps to become clean again, I wiped all the peanut butter off the laminated picture.
This is what I found Quinn doing a few days later....
Now we know someone was paying attention.
Years ago we lost (well, not exactly lost but that's another story) the power cord to our camcorder with a tape still inside. Now that we are in the process of converting tapes to DVD's, a complete demolition of the camcorder was necessary to retrieve that thing. Can't wait to see what's on it...

New nickname - "Shoe-less Jo-Quinn"
The older brother of this cute little guy 'lost his cookies' after consuming WAY too much homemade root beer. I happily went on 'baby duty' while their mom cleaned up.
The past month has been a roller-coaster ride for Great G-ma Ruth. At the end of May, all five of her living children flew into town/gathered in anticipation of her departure from this life - only to have her miraculously rebound. After spending 20 days in a rehab facility, she is now gaining strength in a local assisted living facility here in town. We were thrilled she was able to join a M. crowd for Sunday dinner - we've missed having her each week.
