Two Additions to the Family...

Isn't he adorable?
Elsie holding Jett
Kasey has family within an hour of our place and she occasionally flies in from AZ to do work here.  As a make-up artist, brides-to-be book her services for upcoming weddings and it pays for her travel.  She left Jagger with Cameron for her quick weekend of work but brought Jett by so we could all meet him.

After a fast and furious labor & delivery, Jett made his entrance into the world on
 January 3, 2014.

 Congrats to Cameron and Kasey!

We served lunch and visited (Chris & Julia also) before parting ways.
It was a short but sweet visit.
Here is the other addition to our family.
We've been anticipating this arrival for about nine months:).
 1996 Pontiac Grand Am.  120K miles.  $2300 w/taxes.
The kids love the plush interior - soft seats!
Manual windows are a novelty - as is the cassette player.
It has personality (quirks) but we purchased it from a mechanic with hopes that it will last a few more years.  It will be a helpful addition to our family.
Tanner is excited about this "new" family vehicle as he will be the primary driver.  He is thrilled to NOT take the bus to/from school and about having transportation so he can work a few hours a week.  Leaving Mom without a car just doesn't work very well:).

Way to go on the "new" car. You've got to give it a name.

I would suggest "Moldy Goldy" as an excellent name, but that doesn't quite work with your color scheme, and "Grey Ghost" and "Clifford" are also out. I am sure your creative kids can come up with something good, however!

My kids had cars named 'The Moldy Pickle', and the 'chicken nugget'. The chicken nugget mysteriously lost its muffler. Years later we found out someone drove a little to fast over a speed bump when the muffler fell off. Hmmmm. I remember Clifford. It was an adventure. I also remember trying to teach Tif how to drive my car that was a stick shift. Fun fun times.

Tanner looks pretty happy in that car!!!
