Elsie has enjoyed being involved in "Act It Out" this school year. The group met weekly and learned basic singing skills, how to be confident on stage, etc. After months of rehearsing, the children presented three shows of "Cinderella" this past week.
The first show was presented at a local elementary school (Tuesday) and was wonderful preparation for the evening productions held at the Romance Theatre on Wednesday & Thursday.

Singing a musical number with Aislyn & Zaylee, Elsie also played the role of a towns girl, "Rosie".
The children did a great job - ages 4-14.
The director of this group , Miss Sharee, happens to be in our ward so we had a number of neighbor friends attend the production.

Our entire family attended Wednesday's performance (that alone, was a miracle) but Aaron represented us on Thursday.
Elsie didn't mind because she was able to enjoy a special treat with just her Dad after the last performance.
Great job Elsie!
Once again, Brinley played in an amazing orchestra concert this past week. Hard to believe how young and how good they are. Listening to these high schoolers perform is so inspiring!

Quinn's class visited the zoo, park, and local creamery on Wednesday. I chaperoned the Pacer field trip on Thursday since both Quinn and Elsie qualified to attend. Students had to run a minimum of 50 miles during the school year (at recess) and were rewarded with a fun morning at Squealer's Fun Park. Miniature golf, batting cages, climbing walls, and race cars. Anna had a field trip on Friday and there are more yet to come...

Brinley, Anna, Quinn and I were able to attend an exciting concert this past week.
Alex Boye knows how to put on a good show.
It was a school night and I didn't expect Alex to perform for over 2 1/2 hours but the kids did well sitting on the hard benches in the tabernacle the entire time. There wasn't even an intermission!
We have had A LOT of rain this past week but surprisingly, no soccer games were cancelled. Jantzen spent his fair share of time playing wet but he did well regardless.
A break in the clouds - hooray!
Needless to say, the garden didn't get planted yesterday due to the weather.

Wow! Showtime is right. So sorry we couldn't have seen Elsie's and Brinley's performances. Alex Boye' too. Nascar driving now are you?
