Two Peas in a Pod

Have you ever watched 10,000 sheep cross the road?

 Aaron, Anna and Lillian (cousin) had a front row seat from the school bus window.

 There were about 20 ranch-hands moving the sheep along with the local police to ensure the safety of all involved.  It only took about 20 minutes and then Anna's 4th grade class continued on their way to West Yellowstone, MT.

 Anna has a totally amazing Dad who not only took an entire day off from work to ride on a noisy, uncomfortable school bus for several hours but he actually helped orchestrate the field trip.  And what a bonus to have her cousin, Lillian, (in town for Great G-ma M's funeral) be able to join in the fun!

 The kids learned all about the roles and responsibilities of the smoke-jumpers that help fight wildfires.

  The students were able to watch the jumpers parachute out of the planes and land in nearby fields.

 Fire safety was discussed and the kids did a little work putting out fires - digging fire lines.

I'm so glad my kids have a cool Dad - and that he was willing to endure one particular little boy who was determined to gain the attention of two adorable girls - Anna and Lillian!  I think it was a painfully long bus ride home sitting near the "nameless character" - so smitten by the beauties around him.  Oh boy!
