Beautiful Bear Lake
(the kids noticed and missed the aqua color this season!)
A great big thanks to G-ma and G-pa P for planning a family gathering which most of my siblings were able to attend (we missed Lib's clan). My kids enjoyed getting reacquainted with cousins they do not get to see often enough. And the adults were so busy chatting and assisting with various projects/children, we forgot to get a decent family picture.

With Aunt Tif around, there were crafts-o-plenty.
Each child received a canvas bag to decorate to their liking.
Young and old enjoyed the project.
Quinn was more interested in the food. He and Thomas took turns having this plate of fruit in close proximity. It was comical to watch because they were so serious about it.
With access to a pool at the bottom of the hill, the children enjoyed playing together in the water -- on several occasions. Some are more 'fishy' than others but progress was made on all fronts.

We learned the foam is actually laundry soap residue from our clothing. Nice.
And then there was a "Treasure Hunt" - with thanks to Tif, Tanner and Brinley.
Happy 4th Birthday to Princess Elsie!
Some of the cousins made lei necklaces (provided by Hilary) and had fun watching Elsie blow out her candle and open a few gifts.

Elsie was all smiles with the Dora the Explorer tablecloth, plates and birthday banner.
The pink scooter was mistakenly left behind so Elsie opened another gift the next day.
Cameron thoughts the cupcakes were pretty good.
And so did Korinne.
Quinn did plenty of rock-climbing.
It's been two years since we've seen the Tricia and McKay clan. They were off to Korea for a conference the next day.

We held our own 'taste test' to determine the best raspberry shake location.
Hometown won.

Driving to "the lot" - maybe we found it and maybe we didn't.
An afternoon run with Hilary - didn't we learn our lesson in Texas? -:)
Tiffany and Shawn's adventure at the Pickleville Playhouse - it's a small world.
'Rebellious parking' (Adam) while sampling shakes and spinning tales. We know we're so funny.
Movie and popcorn night for the kids.

Wow. A seven bedroom, seven bath cabin. That's the way to do a big family gathering. What a party!
What's this about a lot? Are you guys building a cabin?
Your post was much more informative then mine was. I'll hire you for my next reunion post. (Whoa, will wonders never cease? Did I just ask YOU to help ME with a blog entry??)
Great job of blogging our reunion. It was fun. I loved having so many of you together for a couple of days! That's my heaven!
